From Concept to Cannes – Producing with Purpose & Strategy

I’m a producer, cinematographer, director, occasional writer, and founder of Kaifilms, with more than 20 years of experience across film, television, documentaries, commercials, and branded content. I approach producing as a filmmaker—not simply as someone managing logistics. I’m involved in shaping the story, building the creative team, finding the right visual language, and carrying the film from its first idea through final delivery.

I’ve contributed to more than 60 hours of produced content, including five feature films, four Emmy-recognized productions, and nationally broadcast campaigns. As a lead producer, I’ve overseen productions with budgets exceeding $2 million, including a Clio Award-winning campaign for the Seattle Seahawks. I also bring extensive experience in film financing, from developing finance strategies and packaging projects to working with investors and guiding productions toward the screen.

Working across nearly every department taught me how films are really made: preparation, problem-solving, good light, strong coffee, and people who trust one another. Whether I’m financing a film, building a production, or shaping a frame, my approach stays the same: remain curious, collaborate generously, and make every story feel alive.

Filmmaking takes a village and then some. I work on productions as a Line producer, UPM, Production manager or lead. International Co-Production when we shoot abroad or you shoot here in the USA.
